How we are serving

local communities.

We're Feeding Hands, and we're expanding hearts as we grow.

Essentially, our non-profit organization is a network of volunteers, farmers, soup kitchens, and food banks that all share a common purpose of feeding those in need.

In our community of Starr County alone, there are more than 79,000 men, women, senior citizens, and children that face hunger every day.

The number of hungry people has increased in the past years, but Feeding Hands continues to fight for everyone to have access to nutritious food to eat.

Collaboration with Farmers

We have contracts with more than 30 food producers across Texas who have donated a portion of their land to Feeding Hands. Our team is strategically located near these growers so they can properly coordinate workshops, volunteers, harvesting sessions, and transportation of produce to local food banks.

Putting Nutritious Food on the Menu

It is through our partnerships with more than 160 local soup kitchens and food panties that Feeding Hands reaches thousands of families who are considered food insecure. Along with the expected boxes of cereal and jars of peanut butter, they can look forward to fresh-picked collards, tomatoes, hot peppers, eggplants, and even homegrown herbs like cilantro and basil.

Money Doesn't Grow Like Greens

As a 501(c) non-profit organization, we rely on donations to keep our program running. As we remain dedicated to making sure children, families, and communities across Texas don't face hunger, we would appreciate your support and thank you in advance for your kind donation.
